The Faculty of Humanities of Darussalam University (UNIDA) Gontor organized the Islamic International Conference on International Studies and Communication Science (IICICS) with the theme "Harnessing Islamic Value for Global Recovery" on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Ponorogo. In the conference, 4 International Relations students presented their papers. Nur Zahrun Al Jannah and Pelangi Sinatrya Anadan Sasmito became presenters in the Sustainable Halal Tourism and Marketing Communications sub-theme. Dhavina Ayunda Putri and Helfy Tasya Nurista Rahayu entered the sub-theme Nation Branding, Local Wisdom, and Identity.
Their papers were accepted after passing the abstract selection stage conducted by reviewers. During the process of preparing the papers, they were advised by Dr. Abubakar Eby Hara and Dr. Suyani Indriastuti. They also listening to the three keynote speakers namely Prof. Dr. KH. Hamid Fahmy Zarkasyi, M.A.Ed., M.Phil. (Rector of UNIDA Gontor), Prof. KH. Sirajuddin Syamsuddin, M.A. Ph.D., and Prof. Mike Hardy (Former Executive Director of the Center for Trust, Peace, and Social Relations (CTPSR)).
