IR's Students of University of Jember Took Part in the G20 Event in Bali, Indonesia

Approximately 10 students from the IR's Department of University of Jember participated in the Group of 20 (G20) event held on the island of Bali, Indonesia. They participated in one of the G20 side events, namely the Religious Summit among G20 member countries or known as the Religion of Twenty (R20). R20, which was held on November 2-3, took the tagline "Revealing and Nurturing Religion as a Source of Global Solutions: an International Movement for Shared Moral and Spiritual Values."

The R20 forum was designed to be distinctively different from other international meetings, seminars or conferences. Participants expressed various problems within religions in dealing with global humanitarian problems and their solutions. These problems include poverty, global inequality, socio-political polarization, emerging from the downturn of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukrainian war that threatens the global energy and food crisis.

They assisted the main committee of R20 in preparing the forum so that it can run well, smoothly, and in accordance with the rundown. This activity became a part of Kuliah Kerja Lapangan (KKL) activity for students majoring in International Relations. In this event, R20 Indonesia 2022 is the first-ever within the G20 corridor. Through this, the G20 Indonesia Presidency 2022 aims to find shared solutions for issues of religious extremism by promoting the value of human equality.
