Two lecturers of the IR Department of the University of Jember, Dr. Agus Trihartono and Dr. Himawan Bayu Patriadi, conducted exclusive interviews with several ministers of President Joko Widodo Cabinet. The interview was conducted in order to collect data and opinions from several relevant ministers regarding Indonesia's gastrodiplomacy. This interview was part of the research on gastrodiplomacy funded by Indonesia Ministry of Education. There were several ministers who were successfully interviewed directly. They were Mr. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime & Investment Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Mahfud MD, Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Siti Nurbaya, Minister of Environment and Forestry, and Mr. Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy.
