Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka Program (PKKM) was developed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology to accelerate the transformation of higher education and respond to challenges and increase the competitiveness of Indonesian education in the era of globalization. PKKM consists of League 1st, League 2nd and League 3rd. Based on the announcement letter from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Number 0578/E.E3/DT.03.07/2022 dated July 21 2022, the IR Department at the University of Jember successfully passed the PKKM 2022 batch II grant selection and was included in the League 1 category. Funded in this grant are 1) internships and student exchanges, 2) laboratory development including purchase of lab equipment and information and communication technology (ICT), 3) establishment of the Center for Diplomacy and Global Trade, 4) lecturer competence certification, 5) visiting lecturers, and 6) teaching practitioners on campus.
