Globalization requires students and lecturers to develop competencies, including soft skills that can be acquired through training, research, and other scientific activities. Realizing this, the IR Department, University of Jember held a Workshop on Preparation for the Establishment of a Center for Diplomacy and Global Trade on September 16-18th, 2022. This activity is funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology through the Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka Program (PKKM) Grant 2022. The speakers in this activity were Drs. Oentarto Wibowo, M.P.A (Head of East Java II Customs Office), Dr. Arifi Saiman, M.A (Indonesian Consulate General in New York), Dr. James Gomez (Asia Center), Dr. Suyatno Ladiqi (Faculty of Law and International Relations, Sultan Zainal Abidin University, Malaysia), and La Ode Muhammad Fathun, S.I.P, M.H.I (Indonesian International Relations Association).
