The Department of International Relations hosted the IX Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorwil) of The International Relations Student Communication Forum of Indonesia (FKMHII) Regional Coordination (Korwil) 6. The meeting occurred at the ISDB building on October 22, 2022, with attendees from various universities in Korwil 6 (East Java-Bali-Nusa Tenggara).

The meeting had several important agendas for Korwil 6 FKMHII, such as accountability reports from each member and the appointment of the National President (Presnas) and National Secretary (Seknas) of Korwil 6 FKMHII. This meeting was successfully organized with a successful outcome, with active participation from each delegate, and reaching the agenda's goals in the form of appointing the National President and National Secretary for 2024.

 

The FKMHII is a national student association that unites international relations students from universities across Indonesia. The forum was established in 1989 at Padjajaran University. It is based on the principles of usefulness, togetherness, openness, democracy, and knowledge. This national student association consists of six regions which have their own secretariat. The regions which are Sumatera, West Java, Jakarta-Depok-Bekasi, Central Java & Special Region of Yogyakarta, Kalimantan-Sulawesi-Maluku-Papua, and Bali-Nusa Tenggara. It is also led and coordinated by six Regional Coordinators which is known as a National Presidium collectively.

The IR Department of the University of Jember is part of FKMHII Region 6 (Regional Coordination 6: East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara), which consists of Airlangga University, Brawijaya University, Darussalam Gontor University, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, the University of Jember, the University of Mataram, Muhammadiyah University of Malang, UPN Veteran East Java, and Udayana University.

The meeting between FKMHII members (especially Korwil 6) is held twice a year. In 2023, the University of Jember hosted the 9th regional coordination meeting of FKMHII Korwil 6.
